Saville unveils testing product
The Recruiter February 2005
Press Release
Professor Peter Saville - the co-founder and former executive chairman of Saville & Holdsworth Limited (SHL) - has launched a new psychometrics and consulting firm.
Saville Consulting is developing a range of products known as Alpha, which aims to reduce the amount of time users spend administrating test results. The products are being trialled by more than 10,000 people and will include a database of over 5,000 questions.
According to Saville Consulting, many firms often fail to use the results of tests to address real business issues.
Alpha would assess both personality traits and how someone would fit into a particular corporate culture, which most psychometrics firms did not offer as part of the same test.
"When something goes wrong with the recruitment process, it's often the culture of the organisation that wasn't right".
Saville is best known as the author of the OPQ questionnaire, which is one of the most commonly used personality tests.
