Professor Peter Saville speaks at International Conference in China

Professor Peter Saville has recently returned from China where he gave a keynote speech at the 6th Annual “International Conference on Testing Methodologies and Technologies” hosted by ATA. The event is one of the largest international gatherings of the testing community in China and was attended by an audience of over 600 industry specialists.  This included a number of test publishers and key stakeholders from the Chinese test community such as government agencies, industry associates, education and training institutions and corporations.

Professor Peter Saville’s speech, titled “Personality, Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness”, explored the use of personality to select the most able and diligent people for jobs. With the help of case studies, Peter discussed the importance of selecting those with the most appropriate personality for given jobs, how personality can be more objectively measured and how personality instruments, such as the Wave Questionnaire, can help to identify and build a talent pipeline in the workplace, as well as the potential subsequent financial gains.
