Press Release
Talent, the new book written by two Jersey psychologists, reveals the personality test results of elite people
INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed industrial psychologist and Jersey resident Professor Peter Saville has teamed up with Jerseyman and psychologist Tom Hopton for their latest book, Talent. Writing the book from Saville Consulting Group's head office in St Helier over the past year, they have produced an insightful yet effortless read which examines success in outstanding performers.
Talent comprises a collection of interviews with top sportspeople, entrepreneurs and other well-known individuals who completed Saville Consulting's Wave®, a scientifically-established personality test. Each individual is featured in a separate chapter which reveals their Wave results and explores the positive aspects of their personality. Every individual also offers their own personal perspective on their results, careers and successes. This provides a rare insight into the personalities of many exceptional characters.
Sporting legends such as Jersey resident Ian Woosnam, soccer players Bob Wilson and Stan Bowles and rugby player Gareth Edwards sit alongside others such as Cary Cooper, a world-renowned expert on health in the workplace. Also included in the impressive ranks of Talent is Ajaz Ahmed, entrepreneur and founder of the £9 billion company Freeserve, and Ronald Stouffer, co-winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
Royalties from the sale of Talent are going to the Willow Foundation, a unique national charity which was founded by Bob and Megs Wilson and organises special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds. Talent launches on July 8th at the Cumberland Hotel, London, at 6pm, and many of the individuals featured in the book have agreed to attend the launch party.
From the 8th July, Talent will be available from Amazon.co.uk, priced at £9.99. Ian Woosnam and many of the other individuals featured in Talent have agreed to autograph the book on behalf of the Willow Foundation and a limited number of autographed copies of Talent will also be available at the book launch.
To register your place at the free book launch, please access the book's website at
